As many of you may have noticed the bar is being completely refurbished and there are some exciting changes being made to improve it for all members. This project was dreamed up by our former vice president Tony Bale who sadly passed away last week after losing his battle with cancer.
The project has two main objectives that we are hoping to achieve. Firstly, we want to bring a focus back to all sections of the club and to bring everyone under one umbrella working to achieve one goal. If we all come together as a club and help improve the fabric of our clubhouse, then we will all benefit from it. Secondly, we want to give everyone a more modern bar that people will enjoy using.
Tony has kindly provided the money to transform the fabric of the lounge and to make the changes to the actual building. What we need to do is raise the money to replace all the furnishings in the bar because there’s no point in having a brand-new bar with old tables and chairs in it.
This is where we need your help, we’re asking for donations to help make this project a reality. Any donation big or small will go a long way to help us achieve our goals as a club.
We have several ways for people to get involved and to stake their claim on the club. We will be running events throughout the summer which will be announced in due course. There will be donation buckets around the club for any spare change that people might have and we have also set up a gofundme page so that people can donate money online. www.gofundme.com/ardrossan-accies-bar-refurbishment
At the end of the day, the only way we can make the club better is by doing it ourselves. The club doesn’t just belong to a team or a group of players; it doesn’t just belong to the people that sit on the committee, this club belongs to everyone that supports Ardrossan Accies because it’s #ourclub.
