President’s message- Ardrossan vs. Hillhead Jordanhill RFC, Saturday 9th November 2019
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our opponents today, Hillhead Jordanhill RFC, and their supporters to Memorial Field for today’s Tennent’s National League Division 3 game.
Hillhead Jordanhill will be arriving on a high after a very good win last week versus Caithness. We have had some difficult matches with them over the last few years, mainly at Hughenden, but we fully expect a tough one again today. Whatever the result, I would like to wish Hillhead Jordanhill all the best for the season ahead.
We, Ardrossan, had difficult away day at Lasswade last weekend and we were extremely disappointed not to win the game after a continued period of pressure on the Lasswade line in the last 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it was not to be and were left to rue our slow start to the game. We will be hoping to rectify that this week and get back to winning ways and try to get back to the top of the league.

Today we our hosting Ladies Day. I would like to extend a big thank you to Caroline Monaghan, Fiona Walton and all of the others who have helped to organise the event. The club is extremely grateful to all of the ladies who are associated with the club. Whether it be playing, helping with coaching or volunteering around the club (for example with M&M’s, youth teams), the club would not be the same place without their input and it is hugely appreciated, so a big thank you to all.
